Application & Integration Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Define target application and integration architecture (SaaS/on‑prem/cloud mix, environments, tenant strategy, naming, logging/monitoring standards).
  • Map current‑state dependencies across shared services, databases, integrations, hosting, and identities.
  • Establish separation patterns per system (clone, carve‑out, re‑platform, replace, retire) and integration patterns (API gateway, ETL, file exchange).
  • Build and govern system inventory, integration catalogue, and technical decision record (TDR); enforce standards via change control.
  • Direct migration factory: data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, validation; define non‑functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate SIT/UAT, regression, and performance testing with business owners (Finance, HR, Student Services, etc.).
  • Plan and execute cutover for applications and interfaces (freeze windows, delta loads, reconciliation, rollback).
  • Manage SaaS/enterprise app vendors for subscriptions, license transfers, new services; oversee decommissioning of legacy components post‑cutover.
  • Produce and socialize target architecture diagrams, dependency maps, and integration designs with Infrastructure and Security leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years in application/integration architecture and migration, with at least 5 years leading complex multi‑system transitions
  • Proven track record of leading at least two end‑to‑end IT carve‑outs/spin‑offs, covering application/integration streams, data migration, and cutover
  • Hands‑on expertise with integration and data migration tools
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and reconciliation practices
  • Experience with identity‑aware integrations and cross‑tenant scenarios (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID)
  • Domain knowledge in higher education systems (SIS, LMS, CRM), Finance/HR, and student administration is an advantage
  • Excellent stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and technical documentation skills
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese
  • Onsite presence in Hong Kong, with flexibility for after‑hours and weekend migration/cutover support
