Key Responsibilities:

• Define and govern the target application landscape, reference architectures, and non‑functional requirements (availability, performance, DR/BCP, observability).
• Drive portfolio rationalization and guide rehost/refactor/replace/retire decisions; sequence modernization where beneficial.
• Design API and integration patterns, data models, and master data boundaries in alignment with the Integration Lead.
• Establish environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod), CI/CD pipelines, and IaC guardrails with DevOps.
• Define logging, monitoring, alerting, and operational handover criteria; support solution reviews and design assurance.
• Ensure security and privacy by design (least privilege, secrets management, encryption) in collaboration with the Security Lead.
• Review vendor/third‑party solutions; manage technical debt and waivers through the Technical Decision Record (TDR).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
• 10+ years in solution/application architecture across SaaS, custom, and COTS systems
• Strong expertise in API design, data modeling, and integration patterns; comfortable with both microservice and monolithic architectures
• Experience in separations/carve‑outs strongly preferred
• Proven end‑to‑end ownership of application lifecycle: design, development, enhancement, performance optimization, CI/CD, release, and cutover
• Hands‑on programming skills in Java, PHP, Python, SQL, and RESTful APIs; experience with application integration, database interaction, plugin/extension development, secure API design, ETL, and SSO/OAuth2/SAML integrations
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Power Platform, PowerBuilder, Jira, and test automation tools is an advantage
• Strong communication skills: able to produce decision‑quality documentation and lead technical design workshops
• Fluent in English and Cantonese
• Onsite presence in Hong Kong, with flexibility for after‑hours and weekend migration/cutover support
