Assistant Project Manager (Technical PM)

Responsibilities :
- Direct and oversee infrastructure projects such as network enhancements, server migrations, data center consolidation, cloud implementations, office relocations, and IT transformation initiatives.
- Build and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including detailed plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and schedules using tools like Confluence and Jira.
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to establish project scope, objectives, and deliverables, applying Agile practices.
- Identify potential risks and issues early, implement mitigation strategies, and prepare contingency plans.
- Handle project changes through structured change control processes and ensure effective coordination and reporting across teams.
- Ensure all projects comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the main communication channel for project updates, escalations, and overall status reporting.
- Prepare and circulate concise, timely reports to stakeholders, sponsors, and team members, covering progress, risks, budgets, and milestones.
- Organize and lead project meetings such as kick-offs, steering committees, and daily stand-ups, ensuring agendas are clear and follow-up actions are documented.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment with project objectives and outcomes.
- Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts to ensure financial accountability.
- Monitor infrastructure-related expenditures, including hardware, software, labor, and vendor costs, with clear Capex and Opex reporting.
- Oversee procurement activities, including RFP preparation, bid evaluation, and vendor selection.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting, highlighting variances between actual and budgeted costs, and explaining discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Recognized project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, ACP, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
- At least 2 years of hands-on project management experience, with a focus on IT and infrastructure initiatives.
- Proven ability to take ownership and successfully manage infrastructure-related projects and responsibilities.
- Strong command of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, with fluency across all three languages.
