Responsibilities
- Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on IT initiatives that strengthen teaching, research, and administrative efficiency.
- Formulate and execute holistic IT strategies, policies, budgets, and workforce plans aligned with the University’s mission, while driving digital transformation through emerging technologies and AI.
- Lead the planning, deployment, and lifecycle management of enterprise systems to meet institutional requirements.
- Oversee the design, security, and continuous improvement of campus IT infrastructure, promoting workflow automation and process optimization.
- Enhance the quality, responsiveness, and effectiveness of IT support services across the University community.
- Safeguard the integrity, performance, and security of all IT systems through strong governance and control frameworks.
- Stay ahead of technological trends, champion innovation, and advance the University’s vision of a sustainable smart campus.
- Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- A recognized degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, AI, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications preferred.
- Significant leadership experience in IT strategy and management at a senior level, ideally within higher education.
- Demonstrated ability to lead IT operations, drive organizational change, and manage cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, development, and implementation of IT infrastructure and enterprise systems.
- Up-to-date knowledge of IT, IS, and AI trends, with a strong grasp of innovative technologies.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent command of English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua considered an advantage.
