Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the engineering team across all stages of software development, ranging from requirement analysis to production capacity planning.
• Continuously guide and advise the team on best practices for software engineering and application support.
• Mentor junior developers through direct training, peer coaching, and leading by example.
• Drive test-driven development (TDD) practices and expand test automation across the team.
• Execute hands-on coding, testing, and troubleshooting for critical or time-sensitive deliverables.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including new programming languages and deployment models, to assess their value for the team and firm.
• Champion and accelerate the team's transition toward a mature DevOps operating model.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of software engineering experience within an investment banking environment.
• Proven expertise in designing and building real-time, high-throughput systems.
• Deep technical mastery of Java, Spring, Docker, SQL, Linux, shell scripting, and CI/CD tools such as Git, Bamboo, or Jenkins.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues and business impacts to non-technical stakeholders.
• High proficiency in Mandarin is strongly preferred.
• Strong interest in gaining deep knowledge of Cash Equities workflows and end-to-end trading system architecture.
• Proven ability to multitask, manage tight deadlines, and perform under pressure.
• Strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance setting.
