Lead Architect (Enterprise Architect - Application)

Major Responsibilities
- Design application architectures including microservices, APIs, data models, and integration patterns.
- Ensure high availability with low latency and seamless horizontal scaling in application design.
- Define modernization roadmap for iterative cloud-native migration and system upgrades.
- Promote best practices by defining, enforcing, and standardizing architectural patterns and CI/CD processes.
- Participate in review boards to ensure alignment with organizational strategic roadmaps.
- Review project solutions to confirm consistency with group architecture roadmap.
- Provide technical guidance to prevent technical debt and ensure sustainable solutions.
- Align solutions with IT strategies, business capabilities, reuse principles, and vendor strategies.
- Assess industry trends to keep platforms competitive and future-proof.
- Perform assigned duties and contribute to projects as directed.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Extensive experience with at least 15 years in software engineering, including 5+ years in application architecture design.
- Large-scale deployment experience in designing and deploying applications in production environments.
- Cloud expertise with AWS or GCP platforms, containerization, and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- API and messaging knowledge with expertise in API design and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Database proficiency in relational and NoSQL solutions.
- DevOps skills with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), and DevOps practices.
- Exceptional communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Language proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua is an advantage.
