Position Description

The Network Architect oversees the overall strategy, evaluation, design, and roadmap for the enterprise global network environment across LAN/WAN, Data Center, Hybrid/Multi-Cloud, and Network Security domains. Operating within the IT Infrastructure Architecture team, the role establishes network standards, policies, and blueprints to deliver a scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performance foundation that aligns with business objectives and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Formulate enterprise-wide network technology strategies, guidelines, and multi-year roadmaps to satisfy performance, capacity, and capability needs.
• Define and enforce network architecture standards, security baselines, and design blueprints across hybrid environments, including Zero Trust Architecture, SD-WAN, Cloud Networking, and Data Center fabrics.
• Assess network solutions, edge technologies, and vendor offerings to advance network modernization, automation, and virtualization.
• Perform architecture reviews, governance approvals, and design validations to ensure non-standard or complex configurations meet security, resilience, and performance criteria.
• Architect and optimize secure multi-cloud connectivity frameworks connecting major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud) with enterprise data centers and branch networks.
• Establish network redundancy, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery frameworks, while leading root cause analysis for major network architecture incidents.
• Support network initiatives for international branches in accordance with risk management frameworks, IT strategies, and local regulatory standards.
• Maintain strict adherence to regulatory rules, financial guidelines, and internal bank policies with high integrity.
• Enforce established risk control procedures to identify, evaluate, report, and mitigate network-related risks.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Network/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Preferably over 8 years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 3 to 5 years focused on enterprise network architecture and complex network design.
• Deep expertise in Data Center Networking, LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, BGP/OSPF routing, and high-availability architecture.
• Proven architectural and hands-on experience in Cloud Networking and Security across platforms like Azure, AWS, and hybrid interconnects.
• Comprehensive understanding of Enterprise Network Security, including NGFW, micro-segmentation, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), SASE, VPN, DDoS defense, and load balancing technologies.
• Familiarity with Network Automation, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Python), and network telemetry solutions is an advantage.
• Expert-level network credentials (e.g., CCIE, CCNP), Cloud Network certifications, or security accreditations (CISSP, CISA, CCSP) are highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, architectural conceptualization, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and vendor negotiation skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.
