Senior Infrastructure Specialist
Responsibilities:
Provide support, maintenance and administration of the IT infrastructure and its services including network, server, security systems and system monitoring services; and to support the implementation of new IT infrastructures.
Co-ordinate with different teams, departments and external vendors, in project and service delivery and manage the change process.
Provide hardware and software installation and upgrade.
Implement tools for system health monitoring and reporting.
Monitor the performance of the infrastructure and carry out tuning exercises as appropriate to ensure optimal performance.
Identify single points of failure and weaknesses within the infrastructure and identify options for resolution.
Assist the team/external suppliers to ensure appropriate fixes are applied to all identified problems.
Support of infrastructure components in line with agreed service level agreements.
Constantly look for opportunities to improve the level of support offered for the same cost, including evaluation of third party software and tools to automate repetitive tasks.
Act as technical consultant providing advice and guidance relating to their area of technical specialty.
Maintain updated infrastructure system inventory, documents and procedures.
Qualifications, Training and Experience:
Degree holder in Computer Science or IT related discipline.
Certificate holder of Cloud administration is an advantage.
Certificate holder of Linux administration or relevant is an advantage.
Certificate holder of MCSE or relevant is an advantage.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Infrastructure solution delivery and service maintenance.
Hands-on experience in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions in Microsoft Azure / GCP; and Microsoft 365 services.
Hands-on experience in Linux (e.g. RHEL, CentOS), Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, VMware and VDI.
Hands-on experience in Intel Server and SAN storage systems.
Hands-on experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) technology, e.g. Terraform, is a big advantage.
Hands-on experience in Kubernetes / K8S / AKS / GKE services is a big advantage.
Knowledge in infrastructure automation language such as PowerShell, Ansible, Python scripts is a big advantage.
Hands-on experience in cloud landing zone design / implementation / maintenance is an advantage.
Hands-on experience in security solutions is an advantage.
Being passionate to learn and explore new technologies.
Proactive, collaborative, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent Interpersonal skill.
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
