Major Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation of strategic business solutions while ensuring the upkeep and support of existing application platforms.
• Engage in the full software development cycle, including system design, programming, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and deployment.
• Prepare and update technical documentation whenever required to support system operations.
• Collect, evaluate, and define user requirements to translate business needs into technical deliverables.
• Develop and refine system specifications to guide application architecture and implementation.
• Provide on‑call support for urgent production issues, delivering immediate solutions to restore functionality and minimize disruption.

Requirements

• A university degree and more than 5 years of hands‑on experience in developing mission‑critical systems, ideally within the financial industry.
• Advanced knowledge of Java EE and web application development, with practical expertise in EJB, XML, XSL, Servlets, JMS, HTML, JQuery, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Previous exposure to frameworks and tools such as Spring, Jasper Reports, Hibernate, WebSphere MQ, WAS, DB2, and X.509 certificates will be considered a strong advantage.
• Proven ability in database schema design and DB2 administration, particularly valuable for positions focused on database architecture and optimization.
• Skilled in producing clear, precise technical documentation; prior experience in the banking sector is highly desirable.
• Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Applicants with at least 3 years of relevant experience may be offered the role of Specialist – Application Development.
