Senior Specialist (Systems Infrastructure)
*Major Responsibilities*
Assist in the system architectural design and solutions for the SWIFT infrastructure and AIX related system software to meet business requirements and cost-effectiveness
Undertake SWIFT system administrator role for managing and administrating SAA, SAG, SNL, HSM, WebAccess, FIN, SWIFTNet InterAct and Browse
Devise proper design and procedures for SWIFT infrastructure and operation including data backup and restore, data recovery, disaster recovery, data mirroring, HA solution, security setup, 7x24 operation and other related features
Perform system infrastructure installation and periodic hardware/software upgrade and apply security and software patches to the SWIFT and AIX related system software
Conduct system monitoring, performance tuning and capacity planning; and perform trouble-shooting, problem solving and incident management
Develop and keep up-to-date documentation of SWIFT architecture
Maintain high system availability by managing and maintaining effective emergency fix, recovery and contingency processes; and maintain data integrity and ensure high data security
Work closely with other technical teams and external vendors for SWIFT system set-up and configuration
Provide technical assistance to the application development teams on SWIFT architectural design for project development
Design, produce and conduct appropriate training sessions for colleagues on new developments in SWIFT infrastructure and provide advice on the features and use of SWIFT software and utilities
Investigate developments in the software packages and utilities areas (e.g. SWIFT-related); and make appropriate proposals on the improvement of services delivered to users of the computer systems
*Requirements*
University degree in electrical/electronic, computer engineering/science or related discipline
Minimum 7 years’ experience in SWIFT administration role for SWIFT technical support
Solid knowledge of SAA, SAG and related system components
Good knowledge of AIX and related system software
Willing to perform evening and holiday shift duties for supporting operation
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
Excellent problem solving skills including root-cause analysis
Able to pick up new skills through self-learning and on-the-job training
Good communication and interpersonal skills and able to work under pressure
