System Manager
Responsibilities
Apply extensive hands-on experience with Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, and Azure to architect, implement, and support robust cloud-based solutions.
Lead cloud migration initiatives, assessing and converting legacy systems to cloud platforms. Optimize performance and costs.
Apply DevSecOps philosophies by integrating system changes into every stage of the development lifecycle. Implement tools and processes for security scanning, infrastructure monitoring, access controls, and compliance management.
Manage projects end-to-end, including planning, scheduling, vendor management, quality assurance, audits, and budget oversight.
Provide 24/7 systems support, rapidly troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
Administer servers, network infrastructure, and virtualization environments. Automate processes wherever possible.
Diagnose and repair hardware and software problems. Prioritize and escalate issues appropriately.
Create technical documentation and specifications for new implementations and upgrades.
Backup critical data and systems. Develop disaster recovery and failover processes.
Assist desktop applications, workstations, help desk team, and all related equipment.
Maintain inventory. Procure and deploy hardware and software as needed.
Ensure the continuous availability of technical resources.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
7+ years of relevant experience as a systems administrator.
Good knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Alibaba), Windows Server, Linux (Redhat), virtualization, networking, and hardware.
Scripting experience with Bash, Powershell, Python or other languages.
Implemented solutions utilizing VMware, Hyper-V, Docker, and other virtualization tools.
Supported critical systems like Active Directory, Office365, Azure AD, Vmware
Managed MS infrastructure: Windows Server, Active Directory, ADFS.
Experience with monitoring tools, patching management, inventory management, and process optimization.
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Able to manage multiple priorities and projects with minimal oversight.
Fluent in English and Chinese, Mandarin proficiency preferred.
Relevant certifications like MCSA:Windows server, MCSE:Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, RHCE, AWS/Azure certs a plus.
