Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst / Senior Systems Analyst to drive the evolution and transformation of digital banking services, including mobile applications, payment frameworks, and online channels. The position involves requirements engineering, technical execution, cross-functional coordination, and operational support in partnership with business owners, third-party suppliers, and internal engineering teams. Candidates can focus on either Mobile Engineering or Backend Systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business units, external vendors, and engineering groups to execute digital banking projects.
• Capture, evaluate, and formalize functional and technical specifications.
• Serve as the primary liaison connecting business stakeholders with technology delivery teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Align with architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps units to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including feasibility analysis, architecture design, system testing, user validation, deployment, and post-launch maintenance.
• Assess technical architecture documents and lead engineering reviews to ensure compliance with functional, regulatory, and security standards.
• Direct release strategy, system deployments, change control processes, and operational readiness assessments.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and oversee system remediations.
• Maintain strict alignment with internal governance, compliance regulations, security policies, and auditing standards.
• Drive application modernization programs, cloud migration, and continuous operational enhancements.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in systems analysis, software engineering, or enterprise application delivery.
• Background in banking, fintech, payments, or financial systems.
• Proven experience managing vendor engagements and distributed engineering teams.
• Solid grasp of Agile frameworks and traditional software development lifecycles.
• Track record of supporting enterprise-grade, mission-critical, high-availability platforms.
• Deep understanding of application architecture, system integration, API design, and enterprise solution deployment.
• Practical understanding of DevSecOps pipelines, automated deployment, continuous integration, and change management.
• Strong knowledge of application security practices, vulnerability identification, and secure coding standards.
• Experience using source management and delivery tools such as Git, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring, logging frameworks, and Application Performance Monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of high-throughput transaction processing, system scalability, fault tolerance, and resilience design.
• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical documentation skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese, with Mandarin communication capabilities considered a plus.

Mobile Application Specialization

• Experience delivering consumer-facing mobile banking or digital interaction platforms.
• Hands-on experience building, integrating, or supporting native iOS or Android mobile applications.
• Proficiency or familiarity with Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Vue.js, or modern front-end technologies.
• Understanding of mobile application design pattern, security controls, token authentication, and mobile API integration.
• Direct experience managing app distribution, signing credentials, and store submission workflows for Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Familiarity with mobile-specific CI/CD tooling, automated build environments, and app release governance.

Backend Platform Specialization

• Hands-on development experience using Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and REST web services.
• Familiarity with containerization platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or cloud-native tooling.
• Demonstrated background in backend system integration and complex enterprise architecture execution.
• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns, event-driven architectures, and distributed transaction strategies such as Saga.
• Practical experience with relational databases, key-value stores, messaging queues, and streaming platforms like Redis, Kafka, or MQ.
• Proven track record in legacy platform modernization and microservices migration initiatives.
