Technical Services Manager (Deskside Transformation)
Kwun Tong (APM)
Responsibilities :
- Assist in preparing team budgets and proposals.
- Deliver IT and business user support by ensuring system performance and recommending corrective or improvement measures.
- Perform deskside services including hardware/software planning, implementation, maintenance, patching, system monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and compliance reviews.
- Review end‑of‑support hardware/software and plan upgrades or replacements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to application development teams, operations staff, IT management, and other stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements across projects and business‑as‑usual workflows.
- Support staff development by ensuring team members acquire the right skills and expertise.
- Monitor service quality and ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards and requirements.
- Facilitate communication across teams and departments for project and operational support.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, codes, and standards, performing duties with integrity.
- Follow established risk control procedures to identify, assess, report, mitigate, and monitor risks in daily operations.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Microsoft Windows desktop platform management and administration.
- At least 3 years in a management role; experience in banking or financial institution IT projects preferred.
- Project management experience; PMP certification is an advantage.
- Experience in vendor management.
- Strong technical expertise in Windows environments, deskside hardware, and software.
- CISSP or CISA certification is a plus.
- Microsoft and ITIL certifications are advantageous.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as Cloud, AI, and IoT.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and risk awareness.
- Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is preferred.
