Technical Services Manager (Platform Transformation)
Kwun Tong (APM)

Responsibilities :

  • Define and implement the roadmap for infrastructure and platform transformation, covering virtualization, compute, storage, identity, collaboration, and end‑user platforms.
  • Lead modernization efforts including platform standardization, consolidation, automation, and lifecycle management.
  • Drive adoption of cloud and hybrid‑cloud solutions, ensuring governance, readiness, and seamless integration with on‑premises systems.
  • Identify and remediate technical debt to enhance resilience, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide governance and technical direction for core server, virtualization, and storage platforms to ensure scalability, availability, and performance.
  • Oversee enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper‑V, Sangfor) and manage capacity planning aligned with business growth.
  • Ensure enterprise storage systems meet data protection, replication, and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex platform issues, ensuring root cause analysis and long‑term corrective measures.
  • Manage identity and collaboration platforms such as Active Directory, Exchange (on‑prem/hybrid), and Microsoft 365.
  • Lead transformation initiatives for end‑user computing platforms, including VDI, remote access, and secure workforce enablement.
  • Govern endpoint and mobility management platforms (MDM/MAM), ensuring compliance, security, and user experience.
  • Deliver complex cross‑platform projects such as upgrades, migrations, refreshes, and technology rollouts.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with enterprise architecture, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Enforce disciplined change, incident, and problem management practices across platforms.
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, application, and operations teams for successful end‑to‑end delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
  • Partner with security teams to embed zero‑trust and security‑by‑design principles into platform architecture.
  • Manage vendor contracts, relationships, and service performance for platform technologies.
  • Provide clear reporting, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or technology transformation roles.
  • Strong background in enterprise infrastructure platforms with hands‑on exposure to modernization and transformation projects.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑team initiatives and engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Industry certifications such as VMware, Microsoft, Cloud (Azure/AWS), ITIL, or PMP are highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of modern infrastructure architectures, hybrid cloud, and platform lifecycle management.
  • Solid expertise in compute, storage, virtualization, identity, collaboration, VDI, and endpoint platforms.
  • Experience operating platforms in regulated environments with strong security and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to translate business needs into platform strategies and transformation roadmaps.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, documentation, and presentation skills for governance forums.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex, cross‑platform issues.
